and i have quite a lot going on. lots of work, professionally at my day job, and i've now taken on some marketing duties for a friend's business. and i feel like i am constantly working now. thank god for my i phone so i can do some of the online marketing while out and kind of enjoying myself. although i am now worried that the status of the friendship is going to change drastically and how do i keep it still wonderful and not let it become business only,is the question. how do i keep juggling the other mess i have going on as well. how do i keep it as friends once the mess ends? i am still working on that one. i dont feel like putting in the effort most times. it seems like more work that if it were legit. and i have enough work to do! the problem is, i like it. i like both sides, both options, and for the most part, i am fairly happy. i just have to make sure to not go too far one way or the other...too distant, too close, too work related, too personal, too anything but dead center, and that doesnt always happen. sometimes it does go too far one way or the other. and i have to go the other direction to get it back to center. so much work. it seems impossible to juggle sometimes. but i seem to always figure out a way and am able to eventually get it flowing well again. i just dont always feel like putting in all that effort.
a toast that one of my best friends new dude uses with her, that i LOVE:
here's to you,
here's to me,
here to the space between us.
one of us has to go,
not you,
not me,
but the space between us.
i think that may be my motto for the second partof the year, but only if warranted. im still not sure that it is appropriate for where my life is at this moment, though it is a sentiment i like very much.
